I’m excited to announce that I’m joining Expa as a Designer-in-Residence. Expa is a startup studio that works with founders to develop and launch new companies. As a Designer-in-Residence I will work alongside Expa partners to design and prototype new projects and experiments.
I’ve been an advisor to Expa since its inception in 2013, when I first met its founder, Garrett Camp. Over the last two years, I’ve worked with Expa portfolio founders to design their products and scale their design teams. Prior to my advisory position at Expa, I spent five years at Twitter, where I had fun working on a product from its origins and that touches the lives of hundreds of millions of people.
I’ve been lucky in my career to advise, invest, and start companies. I’ve learned that design promotes a cross-functional way of thinking that is essential to starting a successful business. Expa’s studio model was built from the ground up so designers can partner with mission-driven entrepreneurs to solve large-scale problems.
I’m looking forward to joining a group of dynamic company builders I deeply respect. We are looking for talented designers to help us bring new ideas to life. Come join us!
